I personally relate to Jesus as a Living God. As I drink coffee I pray for guidance, to be a better husband and father. Sometimes I do, especially when I read a part of the Bible and immediately can relate it to part of my situation in life. I feel…

hi Corey, another way to stop abortion is to support A Womens Concern. We (sons and I) raised money for them to buy more ultrasound equipment. They also set up shop across the street or very near the abortion mills. Peter.

Hey Peter! Good to hear from you. Well the teen years can be very trying or they can be very rewarding. The best kept secret when dealing with teens is affirmation. To affirm someone is to give them a confidence in themselves. When people are confident in their lives they are more open to God's grace of peace and charity. Now it is not something that happens over night. It takes lots of time. It takes patients, especially when our patients are running on fumes. We have to step back and ask the obnoxious teen... Why are you acting like this. All the while keeping our tone under control. Every bad habit or mistake by a parent is documented in the mind of a teen. Thats ok, as long as when we make a mistake in front of our kids, or anyone for that matter, we own up to it. We tell them, hey I made a mistake loosing my temper or whatever the mistake is and we apologize to them. Be sure to look directly into the persons eyes you are apologizing to. Try taking him with you on errands or just a walk or ride in the car. Tell him that you are concerned about your relationship with him and point out the great things about him that you are proud of. Ask him if there is something bothering him. Chances are he is going to clam up. Thats ok. Just tell him that you are his father and there is no one on this earth that loves him more than you and if he ever has questions or concerns, that no one on this earth wants him to know the truth and be happy more than you his father. It may take several different attemps to get him to open up but, once he realizes that you are more than just the adult male who limits his life... He will open up. Be honest with him, let him know you love him with actions, more than words. Saying you love him is important but, our actions always speak louder. I recommend you and your wife spend some time in adoration praying together for help. Jesus will provide you with everything you need if you humbly approach Him and ask. God made the family as the foundation of all creation, so He will help you. Make a list with your wife about all the good traits of your son. Talk with her about how best to affirm him when you talk to him. I will offer prayer and sacrifice for you and your family brother.
