About Shalom Catholic Community:
We are a Catholic Community recognized by the Church as “ International Private Association for the Faithful ”
We serve the Church by means of a consecration life. We have as last end the evangelization and the formation of God's children. We are called to be, in the interior of the Church, disciples and ministers of the Peace; to welcome, to live and to announce to the world the Peace that is the proper Jesus (cf. Ef 2,14).
Been born in the midst of the youth, the Community appeared from a deep desire of evangelize the youth more moved away from God. We transform a snack bar into a way of youth attraction to God. The Shalom Catholic Community is comprised by men and women who offer their lives to God.
In these years we all perceive that we are a Vocation in the interior of the Church. Vocation that may be lived deeply in two forms that complement each other: the Life Community and the Convenant Community.
Identity of Shalom Catholic Community:
We are a Family! Celibates, married people, priests, people in discernment of their state of life, men and women, youth and adults. All joined by a consecration of life, in poverty, obedience and chastity, according to state of life that the Lord calls us. What gather us is the call that the Lord made to us to offer all our lives to Him living in contemplation and unity, of the explicit announcement of Jesus Christ, to consume our lives in a consecration in the Church and for the Church. We are one people walking the way of holiness not for swaggerer but for vocation.

Opus Dei is my “great discovery” and I wanted to share with you something of its theology. Opus Dei emphasizes the “universal call to holiness”, through the sanctification of our ordinary activities, such as work and family life. Of course, to achieve that, some training is needed. The founder of Opus Dei holds that the “paramount means” of training is one-on-one coaching through spiritual direction.
I have some experience with this, because of my involvement with this institution of the Catholic Church. Would you like to learn more?
