If your spiritual journey is in it´s infancy, I believe it´s in a very good place to start evolving spiritually with the spirit of Opus Dei. The foundation of this spirit, said its founder, is divine filiation. This is the awareness of our being children of God and try to act accordingly.
"Don´t be afraid", as Jesus told his apostles in his apparitions after his resurrection. The spirit of Opus Dei just a call to live according to our faith.

I love the words you wrote: your aim is to be a better husband, father and person.
For the last 50 years or so, I have had a relationship with Opus Dei and its teachings have helped me exactly to achieve these same ideals!
