Welcome to Ave Maria, dear David,

I am glad about what you tell about your Monday night rosary group. After being a Jesuit student for priesthood and after quitting, for 50 years I have been involved with an institution whose founder was an outstanding devout of our Blessed Heavenly Mother: St. Josemaria Escrivá. See my hair? I think I´m 0lder thatn you!

Would like to correspond with you by email.

For the past two year I have been involved in a Monday night rosary group. We started out small and are growing. Prior to this I was very infrequent in my praying of the rosary. Besides the great bond that has been developed, I and the group have witnessed answers to our prayers.

"I want to recommend to you in a special way the Rosary, a source of profound Christian life. Try to pray it every day, alone or with your family, repeating with great faith those basic prayers of the Christian: the Our Father, the Hail Mary and the Glory be to the Father. Meditate on those scenes of the life of Jesus and Mary of which the joyful, sorrowful and glorious mysteries remind us. Thus you will learn in the joyful mysteries to think of Jesus who became poor and lowly, a child, for our sake, to serve us. You will feel encouraged to serve your neighbour in his needs. In the sorrowful mysteries you will realize that accepting the sufferings of this life with docility and love, like Christ in his Passion, leads to happiness and joy which is expressed in the glorious mysteries of Christ and Mary in the hope of eternal life".

Hello All;

I wanted to take a moment and ask each of you to please consider a charitable act on this our Independence Day. We have so much to be thankful for in our country. Although there are millions who will never get the chance to celebrate any holidays because their lives were ended before they had the chance to be born. I am not wagging a finger at anyone and hope only for healing. Especially for anyone who may have been hurt physically or emotionally from having an abortion or been affiliated in any way with an abortion. These people are often the greatest Pro-Life supporters because they have experienced the overbearing stress of this violent act. It is long past time to correct the wrong of legalized abortion! It is time for us to protect ALL babies. It is time all people believed in the sacredness of life. I find it ironic that those who support abortion, have all been born (things that make you say hmmm)...

Please help the unborn, the most defenseless humans on earth. go to http://www.priestsforlife.org/donate/index.htm and donate today. Maybe even become a monthly giver! God bless all of you.

Wonderful work you are in, Forrest. I have nothing more to say. Keep up the good work. Young people need all this spiritual formation badly. The world and the devil are attacking young people with all their might.

God bless you and your work,

Jorge

Good Morning Gentleman,
I trust through God's grace and the intercession of our Blessed Mother we and our Families got just what we needed this wonderful Christmastide(I didn't say all we wanted).
The Homecoming Mass for our Youth ACTS retreat was at 10 AM yesterday, this was our second retreat and as I keep telling people it was exactly what the Spirit had in mind. Last year I was not as perceptive of the Spiritual state of the youth team or retreatants, this year I was not involved in the front of the activities with the youth I spent a lot of time watching the interaction. I had a bad feeling about this retreat, and that is odd because I am firmly in the camp of "put it up to God the Spirit will make it work". So these thoughts really made me nervous I incorporated this devotion into may prayers throughout the day primarily the Rosary of our Blessed Mother.
It goes without saying the retreat was succesful beyond my wildest hopes, after all the youth team picked out Matthew 17:20 for the retreat theme,"...Nothing will be impossible for you". I am beginning to think that perhaps the intercession of Mary did more than normally would have been done but, that leads me to believe that it was my prayers for Mary to intercede on behalf of the youth that made it a success. that is impossible because I know that God knows what we desire in our hearts does the voicing of the prayer carry more weight with God or was it the perfection of my prayer through Mary that made it more pleasing to God?
I would be interested in a response to my ramblings.
Forrest
